Scorpions are living arachnids They are invertebrates. They are also solitary, they live 2 to 6 years. Invertebrate means they have no backbone instead they have an exoskeleton.

Habitat
Scorpions live in dark places like deserts. They live in caves, old wreckages and jungles and they love dark places.

 Features
 Scorpions have 6 legs, eyes, exoskeleton and stinger this helps them to protect themselves.

 Food and Sleep
 Scorpions will eat insects, spiders, scorpions,lizards and small mammals. Distance and Speed Scorpions run really fast to catch their prey. They have to find shelter to keep safe. 

Interesting fact
The family name of the scorpion is scorpionidae. If you shine a UV light on a scorpion it will glow in the dark. There are about 2,000 different types of scorpion.

Predators
Scorpions predators are large centipedes, tarantulas, lizards, birds, owls, bats, shrews and grasshopper mice.
